Spring Into Your Goals ... Gently, Steadily and With Heart

Spring is fresh and radiant with possibility.

Early crocusThat first warm breeze on your face … new buds on the trees … flowers peeking through the ground … longer days … There’s a feeling of excitement and energy!

Growth and transformation happen in the Spring.

It’s the perfect time to take a breath, look at the goals and resolutions you set (or didn’t!) in January, and consider what you want for the rest of the year.

Working towards goals, change, or transformation can feel heavy and hard.

That’s why it’s easy to get derailed, stuck, or never even start.

Next thing you know, your good intentions have gone by the wayside. Your time and attention are caught in a ton of daily demands.  Without a conscious decision, the changes you want to make and the goals you want to accomplish end up on hold.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

There are two ways to approach goals and change.

One way is to turn them into just one more thing to do, adding more stress to your life.  No surprise that most New Year’s resolutions turn to dust before the champagne bottles have been recycled!

The other way is to be inspired and energized by your goals; to grow and change and be transformed by the act of working towards your goals.

I vote for this one!

You can turn your goals into reality without becoming stressed and exhausted – and without developing super-human powers of discipline.

“The workshop gave me an opportunity to pull up from my every day busyness and strategically reflect on myself and my life. I walked away with something I could immediately put into practice. I’m so pleased I gave myself the gift of time and focus.”

Heart Goals are Smart Goals

Woman in seated yoga poseJoin me on Saturday March 31st, 1PM – 4PM, at Moving Mantra Yoga Studio in Raleigh, NC for Heart Goals are Smart Goals: Achieve What Matters Most. It’s a refreshing break to get clear on what you want and prepare to move forward mindfully to achieve your goals.

The workshop combines presentation, discussion, and a yoga practice  (appropriate for all levels) that will leave you inspired and optimistic about enjoying everyday living in alignment with who you are – and moving towards what you really want.

What do yoga and goal achievement have in common?

They’re both about the process of experiencing the moment while on your way to a destination.  And neither is satisfying if you struggle with every step along the way … even if you do ultimately reach your desired outcome.

You can achieve goals that are important to you and enjoy the process.

In this three-hour workshop you’ll:

  • Visualize what’s most important to you – and learn techniques you can use over and over again to focus on your deepest intentions.
  • Set clear goals around what you want.
  • Learn how working towards a meaningful goal creates change far beyond that one goal.
  • Define actions that will help you achieve your goals in a way that’s nurturing and sustainable.
  • Learn how to navigate the inevitable bumps along the way.
  • Relax, refresh, and take away tools to help manage stress
